The wine trail starts at the foot of the Marienburg, where you can find out everything you need to know about Mosel wine. Walk up the narrow stairs to numerous sign boards that inform you about the different grape varieties, upbringing methods, the 13 German wine-growing regions and the Oechsle degrees and weight. Further along the farm trail is the next sign board, which provides you information about the geological features along the Mosel. On the way, you will also find small rest areas with a wonderful view of the Mosel valley and the Hang Viaduct. The vineyard work sequence and the vines dangers are explained, as well as the marketing of wine, in barrels or in bottles. At the end of the wine trail, high up at the Marienburg, you will learn the history of Pünderich and from here you can also continue on the trail of the “Moselsteig Trail”.
